 Jody Medland
Only 24 years old, Jody is a young and auspicious talent with vast creative intelligence. Since moving to London three years ago from his hometown in Devon, Jody’s highly focussed and determined attitude has set him on his way to becoming a successful and provocative filmmaker. Over the past few years he has gained a lot of valuable experience as a Runner and Assistant Director on several commercials, short films and corporate videos. His Directorial debut, 'Over The Edge', was an extremely haunting film that has recieved rave reviews in several behind closed doors industry screenings as well as an encouraging write-up in 'Hotdog Magazine' earlier in the year. "Last year he Directed a short horror film titled, 'The Abattoir', which he co-wrote with James Thompson. It was shortly followed by his debut music video for rock band 'The Bazookas' and he recently worked on a corporate video, adding yet more experience and diversity to his Directing abilities.
The immediate future will see the birth of two more incredibly visual shorts, 'Conspiracy Street' and 'Hansel & Gretel: Retold'. He intends to follow them up with his debut Feature Film, the highly anticipated horror, titled 'The Moors', for which he and fellow Magic Dust employee Jamie Kluckers are attending Cannes Film Festival in order to seek funding."
